Established since 1955, The Plastics Export Promotion Council- PLEXCONCIL – is a non-profit, apex plastic export trade body sponsored by the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. PLEXCONCIL is engaged in promoting India worldwide as a major sourcing hub of quality plastic products and endeavours to open new avenues across the globe to promote and boost the growth of Indian plastic exporters.

PLEXCONCIL strives to achieve export excellence by creating awareness among the plastic export fraternity about various Government trade development schemes; providing export potential statistics and international market intelligence; leading delegations to trade fairs in India and abroad; organizing Buyer-Seller meets, Reverse Buyer-Seller meets, conferences, seminars, export workshops; updating about FTP, FTA, Customs, RBI regulations; and making representations on behalf of stakeholders to authorities for speedy redressal.

With over 2700 members exporting plastic products to 200 nations, PLEXCONCIL represents manufacturers and exporters of a wide spectrum of plastic items from plastic raw materials to semi-finished and finished items equalling international quality standards.
